The Championship Matches will be contested over 3 days with 42 matches, each of which is worth a point. The format includes FOURSOMES (two-man team alternate shot), FOUR-BALL (two man team better ball) and SINGLES (18 holes at match play). There are total of 42 matches. One point is awarded for each match won; a half a point is awarded for each match tied.

The side with the most points at the conclusion of the match wins the Championship Matches. If at the conclusion of the challenge matches, the teams are tied at 21 points each, the team who last won the Championship Matches will win the Cup.

FOURSOMES (Two-man team, 6 matches (Friday and Saturday) - “Foursome” play is a match where 2 golfers compete in a team against two other golfers and each side plays one ball. The golfers play alternate shots (Player A hits tee shot, Player B hit second shot, etc.) until the hole is played out. Team members alternate playing the tee shots, with one golfer hitting the tee shots on odd numbered holes and the other hitting the tee shots on even number holes. The team with the best score wins the hole. Should the two teams tie for the best score, the hole is halved.

FOUR-BALL (Two-man Team, 6 matches Friday & Saturday) - “Four-ball” play is a match in which each member of the two -man team plays his own ball. Four balls are in play per hole with each of the four players recording a score on the hole. The team whose player posts the best score on that hole wins the hole. Should players from each team tie for the best score, the hole is halved.

SINGLES (18 Individual Matches) - “Singles” is a match in which one player competes with another player. A player wins a match when he is up by more holes than there are holes remaining to play.

Each Tem captain submits the order of play for his team. The list from each captain is matched in order, resulting in the pairings. Pace of play is 50 seconds per shot. Only team captains or designated captains for the day can talk to players. No cell phones are allowed during matches.

All meals will be served in the Tournament Participants Lounge; Entry to said area is limited to participants and officials only.

In the event of suspension of play, there will be one long horn blast. Please mark your ball with a tee and proceed back to the Clubhouse. For resumption of play, there will be 3 horn blasts.
